Research and Advocacy
We collate our experiences as action research and actively share its learning and suggestions at various forums: Ministries and government institutions like the National Commission for Minorities, the State government and District administration. Simultaneously, we believe that keeping an eye on government policies, implementation of plans, budgetary allocations and utilizations is key in strengthening and facilitating support to the community. Our advocacy efforts are carried out consistently, using an organized, proactive, inclusive and empirical method.
TiF-CCS Research Study on Minority Scholarship Schemes
In 2013 TiF supported by the Centre for Civil Society had conducted an in-depth research study on the utilization and challenges of implementation of the Pre Matric, Post Matric and Merit cum Means Schemes in Delhi. Recommendations were shared with MoMA, Government of India and the Delhi Government as well as Civil Society groups leading to changes and improvement in the design and implementation of the schemes. Subsequently TiF has been facilitating Scholarship applications of thousands of students from Tonk & Mewat, guiding and intervening with relevant authorities to ameliorate the impediments.
