Ms. Bushra Alvi has over 20 years’ experience teaching English at various levels in educational institutions in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and India. She has successfully organized many literary competitions and compered many programs as well as successfully prepared students for dramatics, debates, elocution, speech competitions, etc. Wrote and directed a number of plays and started a number of reading clubs in different schools. Was the media correspondent and wrote press releases covering school activities, etc. She has been actively involved in decision making and curriculum planning in various schools. Conducted long term projects to reinforce the students’ proficiency in English along with building their higher level thinking skills. An avid blogger she writes extensively on Education, Culture and Heritage. After doing her B.A (Hons) Psychology from Jesus & Mary College, University of Delhi went on to do B.Ed from Annamalai University with English & Social Studies as her teaching subjects. Subsequently, she has done M.A. English from University of Rajasthan. Her children well settled in their careers she is able to give more time to her hobbies of reading, writing, travelling, photography and poetry (poems published in a number of anthologies).
